A recent report by Primus Partners titled The Cost of Climate Change: Young Voices in a Warming World highlights the rising mental health impact of climate change on young adults aged 15-24. The study reveals that anxiety and stress are the most common climate-linked mental health issues, affecting 26% of respondents, while only 33% of those experiencing distress are aware of available support services.The report estimates that climate-induced mental health challenges in this age group could result in an annual economic loss of nearly $13.7 billion — roughly 0.35% of India’s GDP — forming part of a broader 6% GDP impact linked to health issues.
